Who am I ?
I'm Dan Phillips and I trade as Sites & Pages, a new small business.
I am qualified in website design to a nationally recognized standard and have achieved member status with The Association of IT Professionals.
I am based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and my purpose is to assist new and small businesses, or individuals, by providing them with a cost effective 'no-nonsense' website design and hosting service. I have a strong desire to assist local businesses predominantly within the Stevenage area, although not geographically limited.
Starting your own business can be a daunting prospect. Promoting your business will aid in its success and using the internet as part of a broader marketing strategy, a website is without doubt, an essential investment.
Design
So you've decided to invest in a website, a replacement or existing site revamp. Either way, the next stage is for us to meet and discuss any ideas that you may have. I will then take the ideas and produce a professional looking site.
My aim is to have the site posted within 4-6 weeks, this allows a cooling off period for you without commitement. Please see Terms of Business for more information.
Hosting
Why not allow me to arrange hosting of your site. Your site will need to be hosted on a server in a safe and secure environment. I have access to state of the art technology providing a 99.9% up time.
Dell servers are used as the web hosting platform. The platform is designed in such a way that if any server fails, another server automatically and without delay, takes over that server's workload. For example, if one of the mail servers breaks down another server automatically comes online, with all the correct configuration and takes over the work of the failed server. During this period no email is lost.
As well as this, all data is stored in two large network disk arrays. Data is automatically synchronised between the arrays so that in the event of an array failing the remaining array continues to serve data to the servers with no downtime.
Domain Name Registration
Secure your Domain Name with me for use in your website. This gives your website the professional look when visitors see your site.
With a Domain Name you will be able to have your own email address as part of the name. If you want to use an existing email address, then we can effortlessly forward a new email address to an existing one.
Website Optimization
Let me Optimize your website. Did you know that Google is the worlds most popular search engine, receiving more daily enquiries than any other, performing nearly twice as many searches as its nearest rivals.
Ask yourself this question. How many times have you searched using Google and after about the second or third page you have either dismissed your search or followed up within the first or second page ? The aim is to get the hits within the top 20 searches by studying key words, time and a little bit of patience. Try searching life coach in st albans or life coach hertfordshire or career coaching st albans. You will find Seriously Positive, a site that I have optimized, within the first couple of pages.
Sites & Pages has just been relaunched and within the next few weeks this too will start to get recognised by Google, so watch this space.
